The Ready Steady Go Child Development Centre is located on the southeast corner of FGL’s Calgary-based corporate head office at 824, 41 Ave. N.E.

      The AELCS accredited centre, which opened in the fall of 2003, provides corporate child-care services exclusively to the employees of The Forzani Group Ltd.

      One of the many benefits of locating a day-care centre within the workplaces is that it reduces the strain associated with finding good child-care services, particularly for working moms.

      We believe that providing easy access to one’s child is the most rewarding incentive that a company can offer to its employees.

      Ready Steady Go offers tender, loving care to children 11 months to six years of age. All staff are Certified in Early Childhood Development, have current First Aid Certification in Child Care, police clearance, and attend workshops on a regular basis to enhance their caregiver skills.

      Our philosophy is based on ‘Learning through Play’ and our programs are focused on fulfilling the developmental needs of each child as an individual. Time is set aside each day for arts and crafts, story-telling, singing, indoor and outdoor play.

      Our preschool program encourages children to acquire basic skills in communication, science, math, co-ordination, and creativity using colours, shapes, numbers and the alphabet.

      We also cover the calendar year-months, counting the days in both English and Spanish, talking about where the children and their families are from, the different cultures, and name recognition.

      All of our activities are balanced between learning and fun and are child-initiated and teacher-directed. Our goal is to assist our children to grow intellectually, physically, emotionally, creatively, and socially, through participation in a variety of activities in a fun, safe, clean, healthy and nurturing environment.

       Nutritionally balanced hot lunches and snacks are provided onsite. The centre also features an easily accessible and secure outdoor play and picnic area. We also offer offsite field trips during the summer months to parks, recreation centres and places of interest around Calgary.
